Description:

The Preservation Series is a unique new collection of blankets that are recreations of historic weaving from across the Americas. From each sale a royalty will be used to support Native American arts, education and health. The Early Navajo (Dine) Sarape (PS01) represents the early weaving of what is now knows as the First Phase Chief blankets. These early weavings combined simple stripes and step designs and usually incorporated blues, greens and natural white hand-spun churro wool. This particular color scheme is indicative of a Rio Grande Valley influence. The weaving is based on an original weaving in The Durango Collection.
